I can’t think about this day without crying. Tears of joy and complete appreciation for the support our family was given. I just want to start by saying a big THANK YOU! I know those are two simple words yet they mean so much. I wish there was more I could do so to show you how thankful we are.
I first want to thank our family and friends who helped us that evening, from cooking, to cleaning, to being in charge of the games, allowing us to chat with you that evening and thank you was amazing. When this idea came to my mind as a way for us to be creative, involve families, be proactive, and get closer to our goal I was so giddy about it. Hoping people would think this was a fun idea and more than 2 people would show up. With each ticket I know there were sacrifices made by families to support ours and that is why it’s so humbling to have people rally behind you.

We are so thankful for every single dollar that we raised, which we are proud to announce that was $5,264!!! It has been so incredibly sweet to have little kids come up and ask if we have raised enough money to bring our baby home, the sweetest right? I love to look them in the eyes and say we are getting closer and closer, and then I want to hug their parents for teaching them how beautiful this adoption process is.
I am an open book when it comes to our adoption process, to help inform, but to also encourage those who are looking to adopt that yes it can happen!! When the cost of an average agency adoption costs around$35,000-$50,000 you make sacrifices, you work your butt off, and you do all you can to bring that baby home. I just want to address the fact that we know there are so many incredible children and babies in the foster program who deserve a loving home and we pray for those little ones, but for our family we know that adoption is the path to bring our child home and we hope you can respect our decision in that.
This carnival was filled with little ones running around playing games, getting their bellies full on cotton candy, and laughing during the puppet show. We aren’t the best puppeters but we tried!
We are excited to continue to work this year on projects to earn the funds so we can finalize our paperwork and hopefully bring our baby home soon. If you have any questions for us a a family and this process we would love to help however we can. We are planning some fun posts as we go through this experience one more time. But once again we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for coming along as we go through this journey, being our best cheerleaders, and supporting us.
